In order to make the existing building more attractive, ASWA architects designed a new entrance. To close off the reception desk, Hoefnagels Branddeuren placed a fire-resistant rolling door. The design of the existing building gave the rolling shutter a unique execution. Due to an existing concrete beam, there was not enough installation space available for the rolling shutter. By placing the rolling shutter behind the concrete beam and then guiding the rolling shutter along the concrete beam, this problem could be solved. The rolling door now first runs horizontally along the ceiling and the concrete beam and then through a second roller downwards, closing on the reception desk.
