Museum Voorlinden is a private museum and an initiative of Joop van Caldenborgh. Van Caldenborgh owns the Rotterdam chemical company Caldic and is one of the largest art collectors in the Netherlands. He decided to open up his collection, also known as the Caldic Collection, to the general public through the realisation of the museum. The museum has 15 fire-resistant sliding doors, 10 of which are also burglary-resistant. Hoefnagels Safety Services takes care of the maintenance and the annual inspection.
